I am Jennifer Little, and I am thrilled to welcome you to Elite Dance Lab. My journey in the world of dance began at the tender age of 5, igniting a lifelong passion that has shaped my every step. From those earliest moments, I felt an irresistible draw to the stage, and my eagerness to perform led me to seek every opportunity to refine my skills. Over the years, I honed my craft through spirited participation in local and national competitions, both with my studio and my high school dance team. These experiences not only fueled my love for dance but also laid the foundation for the remarkable voyage that was to come.

 

Upon embarking on my collegiate journey at Central Michigan University, I encountered a new dimension of dance that broadened my horizons in ways I had never imagined. As a dedicated member of the student contemporary company, Orchesis Dance Theatre, I found myself immersed in an eclectic range of dance styles, from the fluidity of Modern to the raw energy of tribal, and even the captivating grace of Hawaiian dance forms. This experience not only enriched my technical prowess but also broadened my artistic horizons, infusing my dance journey with newfound insights and inspirations that continue to shape my perspective to this day.

 

With a degree in Public Health Education and Health Promotion in hand, my focus shifted to teaching and choreography. My tenure at DuHadway Dance Dimensions, a revered local studio, provided the canvas for me to nurture dancers of all levels. From recreational classes to competitive training, my aim was to cultivate a culture of excellence while fostering growth in each individual. Notably, I played a pivotal role in developing a vibrant hip hop program and dedicated myself to honing the skills of competitive students who aspired to shine in the spotlight.

 

Subsequently, my path led me to Charleston, South Carolina, where I sought to further enrich my expertise. It was here that I attained certification from Dance Masters of America in Tap, Jazz, and Modern disciplines. As an active member of this esteemed organization, I embraced the highest standards of dance education and professionalism. It was a privilege to serve within its ranks, to collaborate with fellow artists, and to contribute to the growth of dance within the broader community.

 

Serving as Director of Programs at a local studio in Charleston was an illuminating experience that further deepened my understanding of dance education and studio management. Guiding competitive teams, shaping curriculum, and overseeing a diverse team of instructors were among the responsibilities that honed my leadership skills and solidified my commitment to fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

 

My journey has been punctuated by accolades for my choreography, with awards earned at renowned competitions such as Hollywood Vibe, West Coast Dance Explosion, and Dance Masters of America. These achievements have been mirrored in my students' success, with several attaining esteemed titles within the Dance Masters of America organization, a testament to my dedication to nurturing not only their technical prowess but also their personal growth and artistic development.

 

Beyond the studio walls, I have had the privilege of teaching master classes, creating competition pieces, and serving as a guest judge at diverse studios and competitions across the nation. These experiences have allowed me to connect with dancers from various backgrounds and to share in their journeys of self-discovery and artistic exploration.

 

Today, as the visionary behind Elite Dance Lab, I am excited to channel my wealth of experience, unyielding commitment, and boundless love for dance into this transformative space. Elite Dance Lab isn't merely a studio; it's a sanctuary where dancers are empowered to explore their fullest potential, refine their skills, and embrace their unique artistry. Under my guidance, dancers will rise to new heights of self-expression, technical mastery, and artistic achievement.
